Managing Director/Solicitor
Carol is the founder and head of Adlington Law and one part of the husband and wife team leading the firm forward.
With a strong background in Litigation, Carol took the decision to retrain and develop her skills in both private client and property law, which ultimately saw the creation of Adlington Law, a firm which takes the best of the old fashioned family law firm values whilst embracing the forefront of technology to create an efficient and personable service to all clients.
Carol is also a member of the Equity Release Council and is committed to promoting the values of the industry and assisting in the development of the Equity Release sector moving forward. She is particularly concerned with protecting the interests of clients and ensuring vulnerable clients are catered for and advised with the care and respect they deserve. Carol believes that every client should be treated as we would do our own loved ones, and therefore, has built a culture within the firm of treat everyone the way you would wish to be treated.
Outside work, Carol enjoys spending time with her 3 children and dogs, and socialising with friends and family. Carol also enjoys travelling, when time allows, with her favourite destinations being Florida, Dubai and the Lake District.
Operations Manager
Andrew joined the company in August 2016 is one half of the husband and wife team leading Adlington Law forward.
With over 25 years in new business roles, Andrew heads up our business development team growing and maintaining external relationships and promoting all aspects of the firm.
Andrew has designed and implemented our interactive portal system, embracing the best of technology to enable Adlington Law to improve the service already provided to both clients and introducers.
Andrew has three children with Carol, our Director, and lives in Euxton where the business is based. Andrew’s biggest passion is football and his beloved Bolton Wanderers although he has many hobbies including Tennis, Running and general fitness sports. Andrew likes to spend time in the Lake District where he has many happy childhood memories and spends time with his family when work allows him to.
Equity Release Manager/Solicitor
Chris joined us in May 2018 from a practice on the Wirral where he was Head of Conveyancing in a department of 30 people. Chris had set up an equity release department in 2007 and was well-known in the equity release world for his technical skills, approachability and client care values. He has decades of experience in conveyancing matters and is passionate about providing a quality service to those undertaking equity release and looking after the needs of our more elderly and sometimes vulnerable clients.
Chris has three grown up children and lives in Chester, although he is a native of Wigan. He was educated in Wigan and Bolton and at the University of Sheffield. When time permits he follows his favourite sports of football, golf and rugby league. He has also learned to play guitar over the last few years but professes to have more enthusiasm than talent!
Technical Manager
Rachael is a Conveyancer with over 10 years’ experience and joined Adlington Law in 2017 after taking a break to raise a young family.
Rachael leads our team of paralegal staff, providing extensive technical expertise on all aspects of conveyancing. Rachael’s ability to deal with issues such as possessory title applications and problems with unregistered land, is second to none and she is regularly called upon to find solutions to problems which appear to be unsolvable. Combined with her excellent customer service, Rachael is a fundamental part of our team at Adlington Law.
Rachael was born and raised in Leyland, Lancashire, where she still lives with her Husband and four children.
Head of Admin & Accounts
Michelle joined the company in January 2018 previously working as a supervisor at the Post Office. Michelle is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our Admin and Accounts Department. She ensures that the first and last point of client contact are both welcoming and efficient which allows us to guarantee an excellent journey for every client of Adlington Law.
Michelle is a mum to two boys and in her spare time enjoys keeping fit and reading.
Michelle has recently completed her Level 4 CMI Management and Leadership course as well as a certified first aider for the office.

Dave joined the firm January 2020 as a Senior Paralegal and he has many years’ experience as a Conveyancer. In previous employment he was also the Learning and Development Officer at a National Law Firm – helping develop staff understanding of legal technicalities and processes. As Business Relationship Manager here at Adlington Law, Dave’s role is very varied. His focus is to keep moving the business forward with training, systems and business development. Dave is also a point of contact for any new providers wishing to use our services and any of our current providers and clients.
Away from work at Adlington Law Dave’s main interests are mainly focused around sport and his family. He is currently the Assistant Manager for Euxton Villa Football Club who play in the West Lancashire Football League and hopes to continue to move up the football ladder with the club. Grassroots sport is the heartbeat of the Local Community and he enjoys giving something back to the Town that he lives and works in. He also enjoys spending quality time with his friends and young family, going on days out and having exciting adventures around the world when time and finances permit!
Solicitor
Megan joined Adlington Law in August 2017 and qualified as a Solicitor in January 2022.
Megan works within the Equity Release team and also completes Private Client work including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate work for clients. She also assists with the firm’s Personal Injury work.
Megan prides herself on her customer care, approachability and attention to detail.
Outside of work Megan enjoys visiting theme parks and going for walks with her dogs.
Paralegal/Legal Assistant
Sam joined Adlington Law in November 2018 and has a long history of working in the legal sector since leaving school in 2001. She has worked in various different areas of the law, including criminal law and personal injury. Before joining us, Sam handled road traffic accident claims.
Sam’s attention to detail and excellent customer care has brought her many accolades from clients and financial advisors alike.”
In her spare time, Sam enjoys spending time with her young family, travelling and keeping fit.
Paralegal
Jan joined Adlington Law in January 2020. Jan has over 35 years’ experience working in residential conveyancing, and has successfully made the transition into dealing with equity release files, making her a valued and important part of our team.
Jan’s kind nature, combined with her extensive experience, endears her to everyone who encounters her.
Originally from Manchester, Jan now lives in Horwich and has two grown up children and four grandchildren.
Her spare time is usually spent with her grandchildren, she is also a Mentor for Bolton Lads and Girls Club. Jan also enjoys walking, reading and watching the odd local footy match!
Administrator
Jayne joined Adlington Law in September 2018 as an Administrator, a role which she thoroughly enjoys, having previously worked in the personal injury sector of Law.
Jayne lives in Buckshaw Village, a stone’s throw away from the office with her husband, son and miniature dachshund, Ronnie.
In her spare time Jayne enjoys spending time with her family, shopping and meeting friends for drinks and food.
Administration/Accounts Assistant
Eileen joined Adlington Law in August 2018, and although never having previously worked in the legal sector, she brought with her over 40 years administrative experience in a variety of businesses. These included roles in marketing, organising trade exhibitions in the UK and abroad, managing L’Oreal stock control and logistics at stores in UK airports, twice being a P.A., and doing general accounts and office management. Her quiet efficiency and unfailing courtesy are legend!
Personal interests include keeping fit with aerobics and swimming, visiting new places, baking, walking and doing anything at all with her grandchildren.
Administrator
Deborah joined the company in April 2019 as an administrator. She previously worked in the legal sector dealing with Individual Voluntary Arrangements.
She has two daughters and two grandchildren with whom she spends a great deal of time.
Her interests are current affairs, home décor and her two lovely dogs.
Deborah has also completed her Emergency First Aid at Work!
Paralegal
Robert has been with the firm since January 2021 and has a background with our armed services.
Robert’s military precision shines through in his work and his respect and attitude towards clients and work colleagues alike and has quickly become a favourite with our clients.
In his spare time, Robert enjoys playing football with our local football team and also spending time with his wife and young daughter.

Karen joined Adlington Law earlier this year, having previously worked with Carol many years ago. Karen’s attention to detail and efficient work ethic have enabled her introduction into the team to be effortless and she has quickly learned our procedures enabling her to provide an extremely efficient service for our clients.
Out of work, Karen is married and a mum to three daughters who keep her on her toes when she is at home.
Administration / Accounts
Lisa has just joined our team in August 2021 been on our radar for a number of years.
Lisa’s friendly personality and attention to detail made her a natural candidate when we decided to expand our Administration and Accounts team.

Andrea joined the team as a paralegal September 2021.
She has an extensive history in the legal industry and will be a welcomed member of the team.

Becky joined our firm in November 2021 with 15 years in the medico legal industry and has great ambition, goals and determination.
Becky is a family woman who is engaged and is a proud mother of 4 and to her cockerpoo Rusty.
In her spare time Becky loves to grow her own vegetables, cook, read and create sketches and paintings.
Becky is also known for her love of the outdoors and the odd glass of white wine!!
Paralegal
Charlotte has spent the last 10 years working in retail and had worked her way up into a Management role. Whilst working in retail Charlotte also obtained a degree in Forensic Science.
Charlotte was looking for a new challenge and joined Adlington Law as a Paralegal. A role that will allow her to utilise both the skills from her degree and her retail experience.
In her spare time, Charlotte loves spending time with family, friends and her husband. She also enjoys weekend breaks with her husband and dog, as well as trips to the theatre.
Charlotte has also completed her Emergency First Aid at Work!
Paralegal
Kate joined Adlington Law in March 2022.
Kate has obtained a degree in Law as well as 4 years’ experience as a Paralegal in different areas of the law, varying from Industrial Disease to Mortgage Repossession. Kate is enjoying the change into Equity Release and is utilising her skills and knowledge from previous roles to succeed in her role.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys going to the gym and is training to be a part-time personal fitness trainer alongside her legal career.
She enjoys cooking, hikes with her dog and socialising with friends.
Digital Marketing Executive
Connor joined our team in July 2022 following a successful 3 week placement . He took on the placement immediately after graduating from Edge Hill University with a BS(c) in Marketing with Digital Communications.
Connor lives in Liverpool and has a keen interest in sports especially football and darts in which he has been a lifelong Liverpool supporter.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends as well as playing football and going to music festivals.
Conveyancing Paralegal
Stacey joined the Adlington Law team in August 2023 with a Law Degree from University of Central.
Stacey prides herself in her loyalty, customer service, compassion and has over 7 years of conveyancing experience.
Out of work Stacey enjoys shopping, spending time with friends and family especially with her daughter.
